Richard Robbins routed this course to sit inside the land instead of on top of it. Bermuda fairways, bentgrass greens, and conditions held to the same standard on a slow Tuesday as on tournament day.

Architect Richard Robbins, ASGCA designed Bartram Trail to blend into Georgia’s natural piedmont terrain — rolling ground, mature tree lines, and water that shows up where the land already wanted it.
Fairways are bermuda; greens are bentgrass and roll true. Our crew walks the course daily and logs what needs attention, because “laid back” is never an excuse for deferred maintenance.
The course carries a standing commitment to environmental stewardship and wildlife preservation — fitting, for a place named after one of America’s first naturalists.

Get here early and hit a bucket, or roll in ten minutes before. We staff the counter so nobody waits to check in.

The tee sheet is built with spacing rather than packed for volume. We never push a group unless they’re genuinely holding up the course.
Stay for the good part
The Tavern is open 11 to 9 daily and the patio doesn’t close because your round ended.
